As Galden is the name given to a perfluorinated liquid (perfluoropolyether, PFPE) that is used in the Vapour phase soldering technology is used. Galden is characterized by an exactly definable boiling point, which allows extremely precise temperature control. This enables the assemblies to be heated evenly without overheating or the influence of oxygen. This property makes Galden particularly suitable for complex or sensitive soldering applications.
Galden is heated in the soldering system until it vaporizes and produces a homogeneous vapour. This vapour condenses on the cooler surfaces of the electronic assembly and transfers the heat very efficiently.
Da dieDampftemperatur durch den Siedepunkt begrenzt ist, wird ein Überhitzen empfindlicher Komponenten effektiv verhindert, ein zentraler Vorteil beim:
The condensed Galden vapour flows back into the liquid container and is vaporized again. This results in a closed cycle. Due to its chemical inertness, non-flammability and reusability, Galden is particularly suitable for industrial soldering processes. Galden also ensures uniform, gentle and reproducible heat transfer.
IBL recommends the Galden heat transfer agent from SYENSQO for use in vapour phase soldering systems. The LS and HS series were developed in collaboration with SYENSQO to meet the requirements of vapour phase soldering:
